The Research Bureau opposes the proposal to increase the salary of only the members of the Boston City Council and not address this matter as part of a comprehensive approach to all senior positions whose salary or salary ranges are set by ordinance.
The Research Bureau is saddened by the passing of Mayor Tom Menino today. We worked with him closely for 30 years as a partner on major issues that will have a long-term impact on Boston. September, 2013 – Charter Seat Growth Should Drive BPS Reform – The Research Bureau released a Special Report focusing on the role of Charter Schools in Boston. The report anticipates that Charter Schools will expand by almost 3,000 students over the next three years.
