The Walsh Administration continues to be in negotiations with 38 of its 40 bargaining units with expired contracts. The final outcome of negotiations will have a direct impact on Boston’s future financial status. The Walsh Administration will need to negotiate contracts that are financially sustainable and include management provisions to improve service delivery in return. (read more . . .)
The CPA was voted in this election season by a 74% to 26% margin. The ball is now in the City Council’s court since it is responsible for creating the ordinance that establishes the Community Preservation Committee (CPC) to administer the program. The ordinance would establish the CPC’s composition, length of member terms, the method of selecting its members, and outline the responsibilities of the CPC. (read more>)
